Rental Management Software - Industry Solutions
Dynamics 365 Business Central Rental Management:
Everything you need in a single solution
The Rental Management Software for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central provides you a complete rental business solution which comprises 3 major parts:
- Equipment Management
- Rental Management
- Service and Maintenance Management
Business Central - Equipment Management
The object module is the core of the rental management solution.
This module keeps a complete overview of all entries on every rental item owned by the company. Each piece of equipment or rental unit is represented as a unique object in the company’s database.
The object module is fully integrated with the rental module and the service module, avoiding both siloed data, duplicated data, manual processe and cross module inconsistencies.
The object module is also integrated with the standard purchase, inventory, service, fixed asset, and sales modules of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
All costs and income generated by these modules will be displayed in pages and reports or in statistics on the individual object, object types and object groups. In the rental solution, a company that rents lifts, for instance, will be able to measure the profitability of a unique lift, a certain type of lifts, or on a group of lifts.
Business Central - Rental Management
The object module is where all the transactions end up, making it possible to measure KPI’s such as utilisation, group level costs and income etc. But it’s in the Rental module most of the users spends the day in a rental business.
It’s in the rental module where the front office staff is connecting with the customers. In this module it is possible to make quotes, and to store versions of quotes. A quote can be easily transformed into a rental contract or the rental contract can be created manually. It’s possible to check availability of the equipment for a certain period, and to quickly get an overview of where the different units are located and what’s on rent at each customer.
A rental contract keeps track of the agreement, both in terms of the customer, the customer projects, and contacts. Also, crucial information such as the agreed pricing, the rental period, when to invoice, what to invoice, and the actual invoicing. When the equipment is returned and if the equipment is to be sold or maintained etc. is also handled on the rental contract.
Business Central - Service and Maintenance Management
The Service and Maintenance module is where to define service plans and to follow up that those services are executed in time for the different equipment. Also, the functional tests are defined here, all in direct connections with the equipment and equipment types defined in the object module.
This is also where the ad-hoc repair and scheduled repair and services will be organised and executed, through workshop orders.
Workshop orders can be invoiced internally, as well as towards the customer. In both cases the result will be creating transactions towards the equipment, completing the historical statistics on all levels.
